Spinal Surgery
Dr Licina operates at the Brisbane Private Hospital on Mondays and alternate Wednesdays and Fridays. Patients are usually seen in the SpinePlus clinic just prior to their surgery for a preoperative assessment, where all the medical and administrative details are finalised. Patients are admitted the night before or on the day of surgery, depending on the anticipated time of their procedure. Dr Licina has an exceptional surgical team of assistants, nurses and anaesthetists who work together closely to deliver the best possible surgical outcome.
Patients are cared for in the spinal surgery ward at Brisbane Private Hospital by a group of dedicated nurses, and rehabilitation is commenced by Dr Licina’s physiotherapist from the BackSpace rehabilitation team. Postdischarge rehabilitation is continued at BackSpace under the supervision of the SpinePlus clinical team.
